Back Scratcher Overview - New Batch Just Received!!

This is the ultra-premium version of our Walnut signature hardwood back scratcher. Sometimes we run into pieces of walnut that have grain and color above and beyond that of our normal walnut. We set these aside to make small batches of our premium select walnut back scratchers. Matched with selected quarter sawn red oak staves and a double lacquer coat finish these are true classics. Always in short supply, these back scratchers are individually serialized with their unit number and batch size like the collector's items they truly are. While they may look too pretty to use, don't worry - they scratch with the same effectiveness as other members of the family! We update the number available as they sell so if you want the best, order early because when they're gone, they're gone (the last batch only lasted 8 weeks!) and since we don't know what future batches of walnut wood stock will look like we don't have a schedule for when another batch will be available.
  

Features of this premium walnut handled hardwood back scratcher include:

• Premium Hardwood Construction - this back scratcher's handle is formed from hand selected, exceptionally figured natural American walnut and the scratcher stave itself is a single piece of select, quarter sawn natural red oak*.

• Hand Built - the back scratcher's 1.2" wide red oak stave is bent using steam pressure then the end is carved to form the scratcher edge.   Then the walnut handles are glued on (the total handle thickness through the stave and both handle halves is 0.75"), the blank is routed, finish sanded and drilled with a 0.5" hole for easy hanging.  Finally, the entire back scratcher is finished with two protective coats of clear lacquer.

• Universal Design - the back scratcher's generous 21.5" length and 1.2" scratcher edge makes it possible for users of all sizes or for those with elbow or shoulder motion difficulties to conveniently reach and scratch anywhere it itches. The combination of length and the wide scratcher edge make this a very aggressive back scratcher and it can scratch on bare skin or through a shirt or blouse with ease.

• Includes Leather Thong - This hardwood back scratcher includes a natural leather thong for easy hanging.

• Includes Signed Certificate of Authenticity - these back scratchers are hand made in limited numbers in small batches. Each back scratcher from each batch is serialized and includes a signed certificate of authenticity indicating its number, production date and the size of the batch.

• 100% American Made - all parts used in the construction these back scratchers are made from American hardwood and all back scratchers are 100% made in America.

*Due to natural variations in wood the color and grain of your back scratchers will vary - as the standard walnut handles in the photo show.  However, each one is unique and they are all beautiful.

**All units are hand built wood products and there may be minor unit to unit dimensional variations which do not effect the use of the back scratcher.
