If you're looking for a great back scratcher, you need look no farther.   Our signature hardwood back scratchers combine form and function in an elegant design that is both highly effective and uniquely beautiful. This version of our cedar handled back scratcher features an unfinished handle made from natural aromatic cedar. This is the same cedar used to line closets and chests and, because it is unfinished, that wonderful cedar scent is distinctly noticeable.
  

Features of this aromatic cedar handled hardwood back scratcher include:

• All Hardwood Construction - this back scratcher's handle is formed from natural unfinished aromatic cedar and the scratcher stave itself is a single piece of natural red oak*.

• Hand Built - the back scratcher's 1.2" wide red oak stave is bent using steam pressure then the end is carved to form the scratcher edge.   Then the cedar handles are glued on (the total handle thickness through the stave and both handle halves is 0.75"), the blank is routed, finish sanded and drilled with a 0.5" hole for easy hanging.  Finally, the back scratcher stave is finished with a protective coat of clear lacquer; the handle remains unfinished to allow the natural cedar scent.

• Universal Design - the back scratcher's generous 21.5" length and 1.2" scratcher edge makes it possible for users of all sizes or for those with elbow or shoulder motion difficulties to conveniently reach and scratch anywhere it itches. The combination of length and the wide scratcher edge make this a very aggressive back scratcher and it can scratch on bare skin or through a shirt or blouse with ease.

• Includes Leather Thong - This hardwood back scratcher includes a natural leather thong for easy hanging.

• 100% American Made - all parts used in the construction of these back scratchers are made from American hardwood and all back scratchers are 100% made in America.

Important Note: Because the handle is sanded smooth but unfinished you will get a much better scent of the natural cedar, just like the cedar used to line closets and chests. However, there is no such thing as a free lunch and the unfinished natural cedar will appear quite dull compared to our lacquer finished cedar model (click here for more info on the lacquer finished model).
