These gigantic 2" doubling cubes are made from eco-friendly natural maple hardwood. Unlike printed doublers, our state of the art laser engraving system cuts a high resolution image of each number permanently into the wood. The laser cut is very sharp and high resolution and will never fade or rub off; it gives the doubling cube a unique textured look.  Sanded smooth but absolutely NO PAINT, NO STAIN, NO VARNISH, NO LACQUER or any other sort of finish is used on these solid wood doubling cubes. (We really like the natural maple which you can leave natural or finish yourself or for a small additional charge we can apply a hand rubbed oil finish using famous Boos® Mystery Oil or a hand rubbed satin beeswax finish using Boos® Block Cream.) A great personal gift for any occasion or for use by casinos, backgammon clubs and at backgammon tournaments (give us a call if you'd like us to laser engrave your name, backgammon club name or tournament event name on the cube). The impact of the gigantic doubler is unique but if you want something a little smaller we also engrave doublers in 1-1/2" (you save $4) and in 1" (you save $6). Includes a drawstring gift pouch in your choice of black, burgundy or gray.

We engrave our backgammon doublers to order and yours can be engraved with the text cut into the cube faces or engraved in relief where we remove wood from the cube and leave the raised text. The difference in the appearance of the two engraving styles is quite dramatic. You just select the engraving style of your choice from the drop down menu in the shopping cart when you checkout.

• Solid maple hardwood - these backgammon doublers are made from solid maple hardwood blocks. The doubling cube measures 2" x 2" x 2". Also available in 1-1/2" and 2" sizes.

• Permanently Engraved - laser engraving actually cuts the numbers into the surface of the wood. Unlike painted backgammon doublers, our doubling cubes will never chip, peel or fade over time.

• Natural wood finish - Our doubling cubes are sanded smooth on all sides and edges to eliminate any splinters, jagged edges or rough areas. And no paints, stains, varnishes, lacquers or any other type of finish are used. (Leave natural, finish it yourself or have us add a hand rubbed Boos® Mystery Oil finish or a satin beeswax finish using Boos® Block Cream finish for a $2 additional charge.)
